Discover journeys of growth, hope, and transformation from the DIP-CO community.
I always thought leadership was for the outspoken kids. I was shy and unsure about myself. Through Mastermind Mentorship, I learned that leadership also means listening, showing up, and believing in myself. I’ve now started a peer-support group in my school. I’m no longer hiding—I’m growing into who I was meant to be.
Raising a pre-teen felt like walking in the dark. Through Parent/Guardian Connect, I learned how to listen without judgment and how to guide without controlling. The change in my relationship with my son is proof that parenting doesn’t have to be a struggle—it can be a journey of love and growth.
I used to think asking for help made me look weak. In Mastermind Mentorship, I discovered strength in seeking guidance. My mentor helped me plan my schoolwork better, and now my grades have improved. I feel lighter and stronger at the same time.
I grew up with a tough father, so I thought discipline meant being harsh. Parent/Guardian Connect helped me unlearn that. I now talk more with my son, and he shares his challenges freely. I didn’t just become a better dad—I became a better man.
Last holiday, I joined Holiday Escapades. It was the first time I slept away from home. I learned teamwork through games and even tried swimming, which I was afraid of before. Now, when I see challenges, I remember — if I could swim, I can try anything!”
As a couple, we often disagreed about parenting. At Parent/Guardian Connect, we learned how to set shared values for our children. Today, we are more united, and our children feel the stability of our teamwork.
At Holiday Escapades, I painted with my hands and made a crown with leaves. I also played in the water with my floaties. My teacher said I was very brave. Now I tell mommy, ‘I am a big boy who tries new things!
For the longest time, I bottled up my feelings. At Mind Matters, I realized many other teens also struggle with identity, pressure, and belonging. Speaking up gave me relief, and hearing others helped me see I’m not alone. Now, I remind my friends it’s okay not to be okay.
I was at a crossroads—unsure whether to pursue my passion or follow the ‘safe’ path everyone expected. Through DIP-CO mastermind mentorship sessions, I gained clarity and courage. I’m now building a small business while studying, and I feel more confident about my future.”
As a teacher, I thought I was strong enough to handle students’ challenges. Attending a Mind Matters session opened my eyes. I realized my burnout was affecting how I taught. Learning emotional wellness tools has not only made me healthier but also improved how I support my students.
